Job Summary
The Business Manager, reporting to the Executive Director, plays a key role in supporting the financial health and success of the Martin Center for the Arts and University Events. This position manages budgets, monitors revenue and expenses, and keeps accurate financial records to ensure smooth operations. The Business Manager also prepares reports, processes contracts, handles box office deposits, and oversees financial settlements for events. By providing reliable financial management and support, this role helps ensure that the Martin Center and University Events continue to run efficiently and successfully.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of accounting information systems. Knowledge of budget processes. Knowledge and ability to use computers and various software packages. Ability to budget, forecast, and provide accounts payable/receivable and financial management. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work as a part of a team. Ability to organize time and effort effectively and efficiently. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information and event information. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, and administrative personnel on campus as well as with the public. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or business-related field Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, and/or financial management. Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in accounting or business-related field and at least 5 years of accounting experience. Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
