Job Title: NJ Transit 3rd Shift Desktop Engineer - Nights - Hybrid
Primary Skills: DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, network concepts, take user calls with IVR System- Avaya, understanding of ITIL foundation processes, Incident request, change.
Location: Newark, NJ (Local candidates required to work one month onsite, then to remote.
Must be able to cover one weekend shift and holidays that land on your coverage days.)

Start details: 9/29/2025
Duration: 3/15/2026 (may be renewed)
Work arrangement: Onsite for 1 month to 100% remote
Interview: Web Cam only.
“Third shift jobs, also known as "night" or "graveyard" shifts, typically operate from late evening to early morning, most commonly 11 PM to 7 AM, though hours like 10 PM to 6 AM or 11 PM to 7:30 AM also occur.’
Required Skills: - Overall IT experience:
Required. 5 + yrs. - Education:
College degree and/or 4-6 years' experience providing end user support. Required. - Certification: . - MUST have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Required. - Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, and other common networking concepts. Required. 5 + yrs. - Experience taking user calls utilizing an IVR system, preferably Avaya.
Required. 5 + yrs. - Basic understanding of ITIL foundation processes, i.e., Incident, Request, Change. Major Incident management experience, i.e., opening outage bridges. Required. 5 + yrs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in information Technology or related field or equivalent experience required.
