Packaging Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Our Fortune 500 client (One of the world's largest Beauty companies) in Clark, NJ is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their innovative team. This is an onsite role with a 6+ month contract with high potential for extension. Pay range: $50 - $54/hr on W2. Must have: Bachelor's or Master's degree, EPR, packaging regulatory experience (EPR, sustainability, CPG/consumer goods). About the Role

The responsible for monitoring U.S. packaging regulations (including EPR laws), collaborating with local and global teams, preparing/documenting regulatory resources, and updating internal stakeholders on new compliance requirements. The ideal candidate provides expertise and actionable insights to ensure packaging regulatory compliance and readiness across company functions. Educational and Industry Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science (Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field). Master's preferred. Experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, packaging, or consumer products (packaging sector/CPG a strong plus). US Regulatory & EPR Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the U.S. regulatory landscape as it pertains to packaging (federal & state laws, including EPRExtended Producer Responsibility regulations). Familiarity with interpreting, tracking, and summarizing changing federal and state packaging/EPR rules and deadlines. Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidelines for R&D, supply chain, sustainability, and packaging teams. Collaboration & Communication: Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally (regulatory, R&D, packaging, legal, supply chain, and marketing; local + global teams). Clear written and verbal communication: Ability to draft document summaries, update teams, and effectively synthesize regulations for diverse audiences. Documentation & Reporting: Strong ability to prepare, organize, and distribute documentation related to compliancesummaries, guidelines, internal memos, and status updates. Detail-oriented approach to maintaining thorough records for audits, reporting, and regulatory deadlines. Experience using Excel and/or regulatory compliance data/software platforms is a plus. Research & Process Skills: Proactive in monitoring new regulations, understanding the evolving compliance landscape. Analytical skills to interpret technical and legal documents and assess business or product impact. Organized and methodical in managing multiple projects and competing deadlines. Additional Personal Competencies: Self-starter, able to work independently and prioritize evolving regulatory inputs. High integrity, sense of responsibility, and commitment to staying ahead of policy developments. Collaborative "partner" mindsetexperience with global teams or multilingual communication is a plus.
