Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to take on a leadership role? We are looking for a talented Senior Security Engineer with a Cyber Security Architecture background to join our Information Technology team in the Dallas / Fort Worth Area. About the Role
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in securing our organization's IT operations and infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing advanced security technologies, identifying and mitigating threats, and supporting enterprise security initiatives. This role requires a technical expert who can help shape and architect our security posture while aligning with business objectives and compliance requirements. Responsibilities
Architect, implement and maintain layered security defenses for servers, workstations, virtual environments, and remote access technologies. Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security controls into system architecture and deployment pipelines. Monitor and enforce endpoint protection strategies, secure configuration management, and system patching. Create secure design blueprints for on-premise, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Design and tune SIEM alerts, use cases, and playbooks to detect and respond to threats. Manage enterprise-wide vulnerability scanning schedules, tool administration, and result interpretation. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure with increasing responsibility. 3+ years in a senior security engineering or architecture role, preferably within a large enterprise environment. Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect or SC-100 (required); CEH, CISM, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or OSCP (preferred). Required Skills
Advanced knowledge of security technologies (Rapid7, Proofpoint & CrowdStrike preferred) and practices. Experience with cloud security and infrastructure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills
Experience in a large enterprise environment. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations. A military background would be highly beneficial Equal Opportunity Statement
