American Floor and Home is hiring a Director of Human Resources. We’re looking for a leader who combines strategy with compassion to oversee payroll, benefits, and compliance while shaping culture and building HR systems for our award‑winning, employee‑owned company.

What You’ll Do

• Lead HR operations: payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning and culture development
• Guide managers and employees on performance, coaching, and employee development
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and engagement programs
• Improve HR systems, policies, and processes for growth

About You

You’re a detail-oriented HR leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. You balance compliance with culture, bring strong problem-solving skills, and inspire trust at all levels of the organization.

• What We’re Looking For — Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience (leadership required)
• Knowledge of Hawaii and federal employment laws
• HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/ SCP)
