Human Resources Advisor

Description :
The Human Resources Advisor will be primarily responsible for supporting and enhancing core Human Resources department functions and business strategies. The Human Resource Advisor will collaborate with other team members in areas including benefits, payroll, HRIS, recruiting, onboarding, learning, talent development, and policy and leave management processes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR-related functions, strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, thorough understanding of best practices, a proactive approach to HR service delivery, and a proven ability to acted as a trusted partner to all employees at all levels.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Support and provide guidance on process improvement activities related to all core HR functions.
- Support the optimization of HR reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support the implementation and administration of key HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support and optimize performance and talent management processes, including coaching, feedback, documentation, and the development and delivery of training programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development strategies.
- Lead or support talent acquisition processes and strategies
- Support the total rewards function including various compensation and benefits projects
- Assists with HRIS administration and optimization including feature updates and maintenance of user guides
- Coordinates employee communication planning between the HR department and other departments depending on the subject
- Assist and provide guidance on annual HR compliance-related processes and reporting to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist with the evaluation of HR-related vendor utilization and performance
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to Human Resource functions
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Strong time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen sense of understanding the big picture
- Highly self-motivated and dedicated, with the ability to think independently and adapt quickly
Education / Experience
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Management or related field (Master's preferred)
- Proficiency in enterprise-wide HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- HR certifications preferred, but not required
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, along with equipment necessary to design, draw, and execute plans.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to sit and / or stand for long periods of time. The ability to use a computer, tablet, or smart phone for extended periods of time. Basic use of office equipment such as copier and fax machines. Ability to lift to 10 pounds occasionally.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary due to the workload and needs of the company.
Travel
Some travel is expected for this position.
