In this position you would be responsible for assisting the Corporate Human Resource Director with complex and specialized administrative tasks including but not limited to assisting in the hiring process, onboarding, orientation, offboarding, managing and overseeing records, generating reports, employment relations issues, completing reports and maintaining records. You will report directly to the Corporate HR Director.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 of office experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in human resources working experience highly preferred.
  • CP-SHRM or PHR certification, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver\'s license
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under shop insurance policy (Not an excluded driver)
  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

  • Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of active job openings and received applications; assists with managing internal and external job postings.
  • Performs administrative and record-keeping tasks related to assigned store staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include ensuring employee information is submitted and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
  • Planning and supporting store information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
  • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews as assigned.
  • Audits Vacation Accrual on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Monitor/Ensure EDD State Claim UI and DI responses
  • Ensure garnishments are set up appropriately online and deductions are set up correctly.
  • Prepares reports as needed (i.e. 401(k) census & Benefit census)
  • Understand payroll liabilities of employee Federal and State income taxes, social security taxes, employer\'s social security, unemployment insurances, etc.
  • Assist Payroll with resolving payroll discrepancies, as needed.
  • Assist with ensuring Federal, State, and local legal requirements are met.
  • Assists with enforcing HR and Dealership policies and procedures
  • Assists Hiring Managers with posting positions, reviewing applications; and assists conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews when needed.
  • Manage candidate screening process, background checks, DMV verification, drug screens, and other employment verifications.
  • Manage new hire orientations and onboarding process
  • Assists with the delivery of all compliance-based training and maintains accurate training records.
  • Works with department managers as needed for scheduling and monitors and filing training completions.
  • Works with HR Director to periodically evaluate ongoing training programs to ensure compliance and incorporate updates, as needed.
  • Routine office HR administration: making copies, scanning, faxing, filing, emailing, as needed.
  • Provides timely and proactive customer support to employees by responding to inquiries and concerns, elevating particularly concerning matters to appropriate management personnel; assists with internal and external Human Resources related inquires or requests.
  • Assists in coordination of annual employee open enrollment process with vendors and employees; including schedules and facilitates meetings and managing the benefits dashboard for new hires and terminations.
  • Updates and audits personnel files and employee records, as needed.
  • Participate as a member on the Safety Committee; ensures employees are current with safety training procedures and Injury Illness Prevent Program.
  • Assist with employment relation cases, employee complaints and investigations, as needed.
  • Produces and submits reports on general HR activity
  • Assist with various HR projects.
  • Completes/files WC Claims and reports incidents
  • Assist employees through the leave of absence process, including maintaining files for ADA, FMLA, &/or CFRA administration.
  • Manage the offboarding processes for all terminations and reviews paperwork final checks with exiting employees, including assisting with employee terminations, as needed, including filing paperwork and terminating employees from various online platforms and systems
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops (as approved); reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees by being aware of and supporting all company policies and procedures.

Salary Range: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour
