Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional with a passion for supporting production excellence? Delta Group Electronics is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage the timely acquisition of materials, components, and supplies critical to our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do:
Procure a wide range of materials-from MRO supplies to complex electronic components.
Support warehouse operations and ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
Prepare formal quotes and bills of material for customer quotations.
Generate and expedite purchase orders to meet production timelines.
Collaborate across departments to resolve order fulfillment and BOM issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier databases within our ERP system.
Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities to improve the supply chain.
Assist in resolving quality, delivery, and financial disputes with vendors.
Summary
Undergeneral supervision, purchases and expedites a variety of components,materials, and supplies needed to support production requirements; preparesformal quotes for materials; and performs other related duties asassigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Timely procurement of all necessary job-related material from MRO (production) supplies to complex electronic components and finished goods assemblies that are utilized in the DGEI manufacturing process.
Helps manage warehouse operations as necessary and ensures that procured raw material arrives as expected to support contractual agreements.
Request information such as price, availability and delivery schedules from approved Delta Group Electronics suppliers.
Prepare bill of material information as necessary to support customer quotations.
Review internal material requisitions for accuracy, establish urgency requirements and locate acceptable alternates as needed to support production personnel.
Generates purchase orders for raw material, facility supplies and services.
Expedite purchase orders as necessary to ensure kit-clear expectations.
Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems related to order fulfillment and bill of material (BOM) integrity.
Maintains accurate source data, bills of material, item master and other inventory related purchasing records.
Create BOM templates for sales order entry.
Seeks new sources of supplies and strives to improve existing DGEI supply chain.
Updates supplier data base as necessary, within the ERP system, to administrative accuracy.
Audits and maintains supplier performance metrics.
Resolves quality or delivery issues and financial disputes with suppliers.
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of existing purchasing procedures for specific customer programs.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support department requirements.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
3-5 years directly related experience in Purchasing.
Experience in contract manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Language Skills
Proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong ability to use critical thinking skills.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of MS Office Suite
Strong background with ERP systems
