Job specification
Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Burn Trauma ICU, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversee patient care activities within the unit, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery, particularly in burn and trauma cases. Manage day-to-day operations of the Burn Trauma ICU, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize burn trauma care services. Serve as a key leader and responder during emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations. Candidate requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in burn trauma or critical care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certifications are required. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Burn Nursing (CBRN) is preferred.
