Lead and manage the nursing staff in the Pediatrics Congenital Heart ICU, focusing on recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Oversee the delivery of patient-centered, high-quality care to pediatric patients with congenital heart conditions. Manage daily operations within the unit, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements for pediatric cardiac care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and streamline ICU operations. Candidate requirements
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in pediatric critical care or congenital heart conditions, and at least 3 years in a leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Pediatric Nursing (CPN) is preferred.
