Job Function
Automation Manager responsible for implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in the production process. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of automation systems (robotic arms and SMT infrastructure), managing the factory automation support team, and collaborating with cross-functional groups. Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and testing of automation equipment and software. Manage, lead, and train automation engineers or technicians. Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives. Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on automation systems. Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders for seamless integration of automation solutions. Monitor and analyze automation performance for improvements and optimization. Communicate effectively with internal customers and external clients. Provide regular updates on program status and progress. Manage action items: identifying, prioritizing, assigning, monitoring, and controlling them. Occasional after-hours communication with teams from the Asia office. Qualifications and Education
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, or related field, or relevant experience. Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and automation technologies. Ability to manage multiple projects on time and within budget. Effective leadership and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Adaptability to changing schedules and work plans. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred. Additional Details
