We are seeking a hardworking and caring individual to join our team as a Maintenance Repairman 1 at the Southwestern Veterans' Center. The work you accomplish in this role will help keep our facilities running smoothly and allow us to continue providing superior care to Pennsylvania's veterans. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will perform semi-skilled work in maintaining the buildings and grounds at the Southwestern Veterans' Center. Your work will involve lawn maintenance, landscaping activities, and keeping the walkways and parking areas free of debris and snow during the winter months. You will also operate large equipment such as lawn tractors, snowplows, and other machinery. Some of your duties will include performing preventative maintenance of equipment, performing masonry work, and assisting with carpentry functions. You can expect to clean all areas of work upon the completion of tasks. Additionally, you will assist other tradespersons as needed and transport materials or residents in Commonwealth vehicles. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades;
or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirements:
