Washington Metro Transit Authority is seeking a Network Operation Center Analyst I, Operations Technology staff to work within the Unified Digital Response (UDR). The incumbent must be highly technical and essential in this position to support Metro Integrated Command and Communication (MICC) and authority wide operations 24x7x365.

Summary
The Information Technology Data Center Technician position supports all aspects of Washington Metro Area Transit Authority¿s data center facilities in a 24/7; 365-day hybrid enterprise environment. The Technician monitors and maintains an accurate data center asset inventory; installs and configures network equipment, and cabling and coordinates data center systems intake/decommissioning. This role ensures that data center physicalinspections are completed; maintains the facility¿s physical appearance; manages facility access control; and reports issues to the IT Data Center Engineer and management. The incumbent produces and maintains data center documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, statements of work, and other documentation. The Technician provides input to the IT Data Center Engineerregarding efficiencies and cost savingsfor all data center installations; and ensures data center assets maintains a 99.99% uptime.

Monitorstheday-to-dayoperationsoftheITDataCenters,toincludeprovidingoversightofdata center infrastructure assets, services and environment
Monitors/inspects the data center access control system; audits data center access logs and interfaceswithstaff,visitorsandvendorstomonitorcompliancewithdatacenteraccessstandard operating procedures
Ensurestheupkeepandmaintenanceofdatacenterfacilitiesbyperformingspecifictasks,which include but not limited to cleaning, organizing, inspecting,and testing safetyapparatus, checking deadlines for replacing fire extinguishers, and other fire suppression equipment and environmental control devices, and checking security alarms
