Talent Acquisition & Payroll Specialist @ Brothers Desserts Position Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and hands-on partner to business leaders, providing HR expertise and support across all aspects of people management. This role is critical in driving employee engagement, supporting talent development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The HRBP will work closely with operations, production, and leadership teams to foster a positive work environment while aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to support our diverse workforce. Key Responsibilities Partner with plant and department leaders to align HR initiatives with company objectives, supporting both short-term and long-term business goals. Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. Provide guidance to leaders on conflict resolution, employee performance, and corrective action. Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and accountability across the workforce. Conduct investigations into employee concerns and recommend solutions in a fair, consistent manner. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent. Partner with managers to develop employees through coaching, training, and career development plans. Facilitate leadership training and employee engagement initiatives tailored to plant and office teams. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California and Wisconsin labor standards. Assist with the rollout, training, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and code of conduct. Support safety and regulatory compliance in partnership with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams. Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely employee data management. Track, analyze, and report HR metrics such as turnover, retention, absenteeism, and engagement survey results. Identify trends and recommend proactive HR solutions. Translate HR communications, training, and policies into Spanish for employees as needed. Conduct bilingual meetings, orientations, and employee sessions to ensure full accessibility of HR information.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment. Bilingual Fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written). Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices. Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees in a manufacturing or production facility. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels. Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
