To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position using the Career worklet, please review this .**Job Description:**Functions as a clinical faculty member of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine reporting directly to the Specialty Service Director in Clinical Pathology with the following responsibilities:Clinical, Educational, and Academic Duties (100%):* Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new molecular diagnostic tests.* Monitor post-implementation clinical performance of new test offerings.* Serve as liaison and consultant for the laboratory and the clinical services.* Attend and present at clinical rounds and education sessions related to Clinical Pathology.* Provide educational lectures to residents and fellows, as requested.* Perform all duties in compliance with the Departments quality assurance guidelines* Participate in academic projects sponsored by subspecialty heads* Provide support for residents on service**Working Environment:**The work is mainly performed in a hospital environment and excellent citizenship and professionalism is expected.## **Current Employees:**If you are a current Staff, Faculty or Temporary employee at the University of Miami, please click to log in to Workday to use the internal application process.
