Responsibilities
Oversee and participate in academic enrichment for Talent Search program participants in Leon and Franklin County: including informational and motivational opportunities, and interventions for targeted middle and high school students, including mentoring activities, individual/group advising, student assemblies, pep rallies, family night events, and other student and parent support activities. Assist with various planning tasks associated with Talent Search, workshops, community service, test prep, and educational activities. Training/Travel to Professional Development at Regional conferences. Assess academic and personal needs of Talent Search students through transcript evaluations, student interviews, and high school counselor recommendations. Collaborate with the school site team to develop and implement a service plan to meet student's specific needs and monitor progress toward high school graduation and college readiness, including reviewing the completion of college preparatory coursework, submission of college admissions applications, and scholarship apps. Oversee school coordination of students and recruitment of students and teachers for the CHSP program in Tallahassee, FL. Coordinate student enrollment in certificate programs and monitor student progress and success, coordinates testing, and coordinates arrangements for use of facilities through local schools and other campus facilities. Assist in implementing Talent Search and CHSP grant-related youth programs, including coordinating summer camps and career readiness engagement for middle and high school students. Attend monthly staff meetings in Panama City at FSU PC. Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire. Preferred Qualifications
Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of the principles and practices of student program planning, development, and evaluation. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Knowledge of applicable computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and basic computer functions. Knowledge of student programs and activities.

This position is responsible for coordinating Talent Search/Pre-Collegiate academic and school support in Leon County, including early college/career activities, programs, and events at middle and high schools. Its goal is to increase access to higher education for identified students and to increase education and training in new technologies.
