Responsibilities

Promotes a student-centered environment by serving as primary liaison for student communities at the College of Medicine (COM). Serves as primary liaison for students between COM administration, faculty, academic programs, and student services in four student communities of approximately 30 students each. Provides information and answers student inquiries regarding all areas and programs at the College of Medicine and FSU. Identifies resources available to meet student needs, provides basic counseling in the area of life skills and assists students with problem resolution and referrals. Assists in the implementation of the COM wellness program and learning community wellness initiatives. Manages/oversees or assists with special events and programs for the College of Medicine under the purview of the Division of Student Affairs to include Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Match Day, Graduation, Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), Regional Site selection process, seminars, workshops, and roundtables. Responsible for all aspects of event planning to include logistics, arranging presentations or speakers, coordinating food and supplies, communications, and follow-up. Assists with Physician Assistant key events and other activities. May require occasional evening and/or weekend hours for special events. Facilitates services and notifications to students for professional development opportunities including Careers in Medicine, Residency Fair, etc. Serves as liaison to student organizations and faculty advisers. Provides information regarding COM University policies/procedures and rules/regulations. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.) A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License is required prior to hire.
