Play a key role in supporting our Evacuation slides product - critical, life-saving equipmentwithin our Safety, Cargo, and Lighting portfolio. You'll lead sourcing efforts, manage complex supplier relationships (local and global), and get ahead of obsolescence risks. This role is hands-on and has high impact, requiring close collaboration with engineering, planning, and operations. You'll navigate legacy systems, compliance challenges, and ensure supply keeps pace with production. Procurement Manage purchasing components and materials. Identify and qualify alternate suppliers and parts to address obsolescence. Develop, maintain, and enhance strategic relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and service. Facilitate regular supplier reviews to drive continuous improvement and resolve issues. Ensure supplier compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, and sustainability requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with planning, engineering, quality, and operations teams to align procurement activities with business needs. Provide input into product design changes or redesigns related to sourcing constraints. Act as procurement lead for new product introductions (NPIs) and product lifecycle transitions. Obsolescence Management Maintain an up-to-date obsolescence tracking system and forecast risks to production schedules. Collaborate with design, planning, and engineering teams to develop last-time buy (LTB) strategies. Data & Reporting Provide regular updates on obsolescence risk and mitigation plans. Generate cost impact analyses for obsolete parts and alternative sourcing strategies. Track KPIs related to obsolescence mitigation, cost savings, and supplier performance.
