Safety Manager Food & Dairy Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance across a food/dairy manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, proven safety management experience, and the ability to collaborate across teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient operation. Top Five Technical Skills of Importance
5+ years of experience in Safety Management, with at least 45 direct reports. Dairy industry or similar food manufacturing experience. OSHA 10, 30, and 500 certifications. Engineering knowledge/experience. Demonstrated leadership skills. Key Responsibilities
Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to evaluate compliance and implement corrective actions. Develop, implement, and manage preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs. Lead and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. Provide project teams with guidance on health and safety regulations to ensure adherence to industry, state, and federal requirements. Collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain Emergency Action Plans; serve as the primary contact for incident reporting, investigations, and case management. Maintain accurate safety inspection logs, reports, and documentation. Ensure all operations comply with OSHA standards, internal policies, procedures, and best engineering practices. Partner with department managers to support safety personnel and compliance activities. Schedule and lead team safety meetings, track follow-up actions, and drive continuous improvement. Promote and enforce a safe workplace culture across all levels of the organization. Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong background in risk assessment/management. Knowledge of administrative policies, safety budgets, and project controls. Ability to manage conflict, problem-solving, and conceptual planning. Proven leadership and multi-tasking ability in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Comfort with time reporting systems and compliance documentation.
