This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in a professional EH&S environment, while balancing academic commitments Duties & Responsibilities: Help manage EH&S inventory, including tracking and organizing equipment
Participate and attend orientations and other outreach events when needed
Scan, Shred, Copy, Sort, File, Label, Organize, Clean, etc.
Assist with campus inspections and documentation
Complete training and other learning opportunities as assigned. As training continues, duties may change with demonstrated knowledge
Any other duties as assigned
Work Study Required In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed, this position requires applicants to have been awarded Work Study funds. Work study funds are based on your eligibility determined by the FAFSA and are awarded as part of your Financial Aid package. Able to work minimum of 10 hours per week
Student Employment Eligibility: Fall & Spring Semester Eligibility Enrollment in at least 6 credits each regular semester; and
Be in a degree seeking program; and
Meet all Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements:
67% completion rate in the last enrolled semester
67% cumulative completion rate
2.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
Have not exceeded the maximum number of credits allowed (90) or received two degrees
OR be on an approved appeal and on probation with an Academic Plan; and
Be authorized to work in the United States
Summer Eligibility
- Students are eligible to work during the summer if they meet the following criteria: Enrolled in at least 6 summer credits; or
Successfully have completed the spring semester and enrolled in the required 6 credits for the fall semester (summer enrollment in this case is not required); and
Meet all Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements listed previously; and
Be authorized to work in the United States
Changes in Student Eligibility Continued employment is contingent on maintaining eligibility. If a students eligibility changes their role may be subject to termination and/or they may be temporarily required to remain off work. If students eligibility is on hold pending the results of an appeal, students are required to remain off work until the appeal has been satisfactorily resolved. : Ability to follow oral and written directions
Ability to traverse campus multiple times daily
Meticulous record keeping and data entry skills, with great attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and organizing skills
Additional Information Compensation
: Student Employee - Level 1 $12-$15 an hour Schedule Scheduled and available hours may vary and are subject to change based on organizational needs. Workdays, hours, and times are negotiable depending on class schedules. Minimum 10 hours per week requirement. Full-Time Equivalency 50% - 20 Hours Per Week Students may not work during scheduled course times
Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (Sun-Sat) during academic periods in which they are enrolled (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters)
Students may not work more than 28 hours per week (Sun-Sat) during break periods, in which they are not taking courses (summer break, winter break, and spring break)
