Provide occupational therapy-based services to assigned caseload consistent with students' documented therapy goals, including those defined in areas of instructional and therapeutic focus and/or Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Develop and implement safe and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Provide assessment, mandate recommendations, and intervention in related school-based areas of occupation (participation in academics, play/leisure, vocational, and self-care skills) and appropriately document or update annual therapy goals for students, as needed.
Evaluate, document, and monitor provision of service and student progress in a timely manner in line with policies of organization, governing bodies and in language comprehensible to caregivers.
Regularly communicate and collaborate with parents, school staff across all disciplines, and medical professionals regarding health, equipment use, participation in activities, positioning, feeding, and other relevant factors, as needed.
Fabricate, maintain, modify and monitor use of adaptive equipment and orthotics and train school staff regarding interventions involving assistive technology (AT) or other equipment.
Assist with assessments related to assistive technology (AT) and/or durable medical equipment (DME) needs, including participation in clinics, documenting medical necessity, obtaining measurements, working with providers, facilitating orders, coordinating with vendors for delivery, fittings, etc. as needed.
Attend and participate in scheduled supervision, department meetings, and activities.
Be responsible for maintaining office and therapy room organization.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
