Job Summary The classification of Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport activities for both Ramp Services and Passenger Service functions; monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directs personnel within the assigned functional area; oversees staffing requirements; participates in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; trains subordinates; ensures compliance with Company rules, standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between Airport Board officials and individual customers with the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintains and controls all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensures required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Reads, understands and clarifies the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensures all WFS staff are issued a relevant company ID and display their identity badge. Administers practices in a fair and equitable manner. Ramp Service Functions Includes loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft; ramp transfers of cargo; receiving, delivering, and handling of freight and company material; completing forms related to operations; cleaning and servicing cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; handling and installing passenger service furnishings and supplies; assisting in loading, unloading and racking of drums; de-icing aircraft, cleaning windshields, pushout/tow aircraft and related guide man functions; connecting/removing ground power and ground start units; cleaning exterior of aircraft with cleaning fluids; routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities; assisting in monitoring security of the facility; potential routine automotive repair and equipment servicing and cleaning. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely manner. May be responsible for baggage service functions such as filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims. Provide efficient and professional customer service and resolve passenger problems as required. Coordinate with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companies. Act as company representative when assigned. Report to work on a regular and timely basis. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Perform basic math and measurement tasks as required. Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with various variables.

Minimum Requirements Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and days off.

Preferred Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. Ability to set priorities and use independent judgment. Ability to handle stress and work with minimal supervision. Ability to write routine reports and demonstrate effective communication.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Work in a high-noise environment.
