Job Summary
The Director of Women's Health Services will lead and oversee the strategic planning and operational management of our labor and delivery, postpartum, nurseries, and other women's health services. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality patient care through quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The focus will be on enhancing patient safety, optimizing resources, and encouraging professional development among staff, while aligning departmental goals with the organization's mission.
Essential Functions
Oversee daily operations of women's health departments, including staffing, resource allocation, safety, and quality.
Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in women's healthcare.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Manage the departmental budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
Recruit, train, and mentor staff, promoting continuing education.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve interdisciplinary communication and care delivery.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
Address patient care issues and implement corrective action when necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends and healthcare regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
5-7 years of clinical nursing experience in women's health required.
2-4 years of progressive nursing leadership experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, Nursery practices, and technology.
Ability to assess data, prioritize care, and communicate effectively with patients of diverse age groups.
Demonstrated leadership ability with strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in analyzing data and using metrics for decision-making.
Able to evaluate situations, provide solutions, and improve work processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to meet customer needs.

Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation certification required or NALS - Neonatal Advanced Life Support certification required.
