The base salary range for this position in as for the job description criteria as listed is $120,000-140,000 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. Where an individual's pay falls within the range is determined by factors including, but not limited to, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
In some cases, compensation may fall outside of this range depending on factors, including a candidate's qualification, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
Position Overview:
The Senior Process Engineer will oversee the day-to-day production activities to ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of the manufacturing process. Execute process improvements initiatives. Optimize asset utilization and production cost. Perform engineering analysis to reduce waste and down time.
What you will be doing:
Design new processes and equipment
Champion for cost per ton improvement activities (benchmarking, bottleneck analysis, loss/yield analysis, process tuning, control schemes, trend analysis and reporting)
Provide technical expertise for PSM activities such as PHA, MOC, PSSR.
Supervise contractors for assigned projects
Support control system (Delta V) activities (interlock testing, alarm setting, troubleshooting, control loop tuning)
Ensure and maintain compliance with corporate and engineering-specific policies, procedures, and work processes
Provide technical support to turnaround planning activities and startup/shutdown procedures
Troubleshoot plant process or equipment issues
Manage plant PIDs, PFDs
Monitor and ensure SUMO compliance including COP/VIP compliance, MDC tests
Monitor and track plant OEE
Develop and modify SOP’s, process controls, interlock matrix, alarm list & control narratives
Back up Operations or Logistic supervisor
Steer HS&E teams/meetings to address safety and environmental issues
Complete applicable trainings as required. Be knowledgeable with applicable site, corporate, legal, regulatory safety and environmental requirements
Report safety or environmental incidents
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering
8 plus years of production/process engineering experience or 5 or more years of experience with a master’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering preferably from process industries
Extensive knowledge of chemical engineering principles including process controls
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to reason and deduce
Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
Willingness to work in a 24/7 continuous operation chemical manufacturing plant and be required to be on call on a rotational basis
Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) skills in order to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization
