Current WA or Compact Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (1 year considered with 150+ deliveries/month) Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Epic charting system proficiency Strong references: Minimum 2 supervisory references within the last 3 years Ability to provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor, postpartum, and newborn care Willingness to float to sister healthcare facilities if needed Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients throughout antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and recovery procedures Conduct sterile vaginal exams, triage obstetrical patients, and utilize EFM and IUPC for monitoring Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and anticoagulants Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR and complete required training modules Weekend shifts required as needed; no on-call or floating between units
