CMSC: Youth Services Volunteer (CLUSTER)
The Community Mediation Service Corps (CMSC) is an AmeriCorps program that partners with Community Dispute Resolution Centers (CDRCs) across New York State to expand access to conflict resolution services and strengthen local capacity. CMSC members are trained in mediation, conflict coaching, restorative practices, and other tools to support peaceful problem-solving in their communities. Members serve in a variety of settings including courts, schools, and community programs, where they may assist with mediation and facilitation, support youth and family-focused programming, conduct outreach, manage data and case intake, or help recruit and engage volunteers. CMSC offers two service paths: a traditional track for full-time and part-time members who complete a robust training and apprenticeship model, and a volunteer track for members serving shorter terms in support roles.
