Pay Information $2,240 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience in managing patient ratios of 5 to 6 - Proficiency in EPIC charting system Description: Position available for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department. First-time travelers are accepted. The position requires alternating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. There will be a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 5 patients with mixed/shared acuity levels. Float requirements will be enforced when census warrants. Every other weekend shift is mandatory. Expertise in general emergency department skills is essential, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy is required. The candidate should be skilled in starting IVs, administering continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and IV vasopressors. Familiarity with procedural sedation administration and cerebrovascular accident management is necessary. Isolation precautions knowledge is also required. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float to other areas as needed. Daily census is approximately 64 patients with an average of 145 visits per day.
