Overview This is a defined term position with a full benefits package, focusing on long-term project work until completion or an end date not exceeding December 31, 2026. The role primarily offers remote work with in-person team meetings scheduled quarterly in Scotts Valley, CA. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing statutory, contractual, and regulatory filings and reporting. Organize and implement new requirements while maintaining Alliance policies and procedures. Support the administrative functions of the Regulatory Affairs Unit. Carry out additional duties as assigned. About the Team The Compliance Department is dedicated to helping Alliance employees navigate complex rules and requirements, ensuring we meet our compliance obligations. Our Regulatory Affairs team acts as the main liaison with regulators, identifying and implementing new legal and regulatory requirements while managing regulatory reporting and filings. The Ideal Candidate Possesses experience in healthcare regulatory processes or a related field. Demonstrates acute attention to detail and data accuracy. Has experience with remote work and self-motivation while staying connected to the team. Excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Manages time efficiently and meets strict deadlines for deliverables and filings. Is knowledgeable about Medi-Cal, Medicare Advantage, or D-SNP programs and related regulations. Qualifications for Success To view the complete list of requirements, please consult the job description. Knowledge of: Research, analysis, and reporting methods. Windows-based PC systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. State and Federal legislative and regulatory processes. Project management principles and practices. Ability to: Quickly grasp Alliance functions, policies, procedures, and responsibilities related to oversight agencies. Learn and apply Medicare and Medi-Cal regulations relevant to compliance activities. Identify, research, and analyze legal materials and interpret legal and contractual language. Exhibit strong analytical skills, troubleshoot issues, and propose viable solutions. Document, summarize, and independently resolve moderately complex issues clearly and effectively. Handle a high volume of government relations tasks. Education and Experience: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Public Policy, Health Care Planning, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in government relations or compliance. A Master's degree may substitute for two years of required experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may also qualify. Additional Information The interview process will occur remotely via Microsoft Teams. Attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be required. In-office presence may be necessary depending on business needs; further details will be provided during the interview process. Compensation The full compensation range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation will be determined based on the organization's philosophy and an analysis of the candidate's qualifications. Zone 1 (Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles area, San Diego area): $69,937 - $111,904 USD Zone 2 (Fresno area, Bakersfield, Central Valley): $63,645 - $101,837 USD Benefits Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week, with some benefits pro-rated for part-time employees.
