Logistics Manager

at Camp Good Mourning! plays a critical leadership role in coordinating all operational, supply, and physical setup needs before, during, and after the camp weekend. This individual ensures that all camp activities, meals, transitions, and support services run smoothly and on time, allowing clinical and program staff to focus on camper care. The Logistics Manager leads the Logistics Team and works closely with the Camp Director to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient environment for campers, volunteers, and staff.

Core Responsibilities:

· Pre-Camp Planning & Coordination: oWork with the Camp Director and Program Team to review the weekend schedule and identify all logistical needs. oCreate a master logistics plan (e.g., setup lists, supply lists, equipment needs, room assignments). oOversee the packing, labeling, and transportation of camp supplies and materials. · Supervise Logistics Team: oLead, assign tasks to, and support a team of Logistics Team Members throughout the weekend. oProvide training, orientation, and clear instructions for tasks such as activity setup, teardown, supply management, and camper transitions. oEnsure the team works efficiently, stays on schedule, and communicates regularly. · Activity & Event Setup/Breakdown: oOversee the timely setup and cleanup of all scheduled activities, meals, ceremonies, and recreation spaces. oEnsure all supplies and equipment are in place, functional, and safe to use. · Manage Supplies & Equipment: oMaintain an organized inventory system for all camp supplies. oEnsure items are distributed and restocked as needed throughout the weekend. oTroubleshoot missing, damaged, or last-minute supply needs quickly and calmly. · Coordinate Camp Transitions: oHelp manage the flow of campers and volunteers between locations to keep the camp on schedule. oProvide signage, signals, or volunteers at key transition points if needed. · Communication & Problem Solving: oServe as the main point of contact for all operational/logistical issues during the weekend. oQuickly assess and resolve unexpected logistical problems while minimizing disruption to campers and staff. · Post-Camp Breakdown & Evaluation: oOversee post-camp cleanup, repacking, and transportation of all materials. oParticipate in post-camp debriefs to offer feedback and suggest improvements for future camps.

Ideal Qualifications:

·Strong organizational and time management skills ·Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment ·Comfortable with hands-on physical tasks (lifting, carrying, setting up equipment) ·Calm under pressure and highly adaptable ·Excellent communication and delegation skills ·Passionate about supporting Camp Good Mourning!’s mission ·Prior camp or event management experience preferred
