IT Support for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) uses certified volunteers to assist those with low and moderate-income in preparing and submitting their income tax returns. We have approximately 20 laptops and 6 printers that are used by multiple volunteers from January through April. We are looking for a volunteer to join our IT support and maintenance team. Tasks include: Installing updates to operating system, drivers and software on all laptops in January in preparation for use during the tax season Ensuring appropriate security precautions on each laptop throughout tax season Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment Providing troubleshooting via phone or site visits as needed during tax season Checking equipment setup and status at site as needed Updating content on Google website
