Overview: An innovative metal manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled

Process Engineer

to specialize in powder metallurgy, with a focus on powder production, pressing, and sintering. This role requires hands-on experience in developing, optimizing, and sustaining processes from raw material handling through to final sintered components. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving process efficiency, improving product quality, and implementing continuous improvements across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and optimize powder processing techniques, including pressing and sintering. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to compaction and sintering. Analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to increase yield and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Document process parameters and maintain adherence to best manufacturing practices. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support the adoption of new technologies within powder metallurgy. Perform additional engineering duties as needed. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline. 3-5 years of industrial experience in powder metallurgy (powder production, pressing, and sintering). Strong knowledge of powder compaction and sintering, including tooling design. Familiarity with process control tools such as SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and project management abilities. Preferred Experience & Skills:

5+ years of industrial experience in powder manufacturing and processing. Practical knowledge of process safety related to metal powder handling. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from operators to management, to implement effective solutions.
