Wayzata Public Schools
Elementary Literacy Volunteer: read with a child once a week
Wayzata Public Schools, Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, 55400
The Literacy Volunteer Program supports elementary students who need extra help with reading comprehension and fluency. Volunteers meet one-on-one with an assigned student once a week for 20-30 minutes, listening to them read and offering encouragement. Along the way, volunteers often build meaningful relationships that boost a child’s confidence and help them develop a love of reading.
