Security Operations Specialist

Join Our Team! The Security Engineering Program (SEP) under Homeland and Force Protection at Leidos is seeking a dedicated Security Operations Specialist with a TS/SCI clearance. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding classified information, assets, and secure environments. You will collaborate closely with key leaders and customers to ensure the highest standards of security are upheld. Your responsibilities will include managing SCIF access control requirements, processing visit requests, and providing site escort for uncleared vendors. You will also be instrumental in offering security training and implementing security policies and procedures. Emphasis areas include physical security, information security, OPSEC, and clearance verification. As part of your role, you will interact with senior DoD officials and provide essential security support. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. This position is based at a customer site in the Sacramento, CA metro area. Basic Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of a TS/SCI clearance. A minimum of eight (8) years of government experience in Physical Security and Information Security, including some experience in Personnel Security (PERSEC) and Operations Security (OPSEC). Bachelor's degree in a related field or an additional 2 years of experience. Deep understanding of ICD 705, NISPOM, and relevant Manuals, Directives, policies, and procedures. Hands-on experience with physical security assessments and SCIF/SAPF security standards. Expertise in managing daily security operations of a SCIF. Exceptional communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Facility Security Officer. Background as a COMSEC Custodian. Experience in developing and implementing OPSEC plans. Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems. Experience with SCIF/TSCIF accreditation processes. Security professional experience supporting the Intelligence Community. Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00 This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Various factors are considered in extending offers including responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
