Senior Electrical Engineer – Power & Utilities
Locations: Fort Worth, TX | Denver, CO | Cary, NC | Chicago, IL
(Hybrid role: in-office 2 days per week + project-based travel up to 50%)
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Power/Utilities) to play a key role in delivering innovative energy solutions for our clients. This role will give you the opportunity to engage directly with clients, evaluate their energy needs, develop concept-level plans, and carry projects through detailed design to execution. Our team provides true end-to-end lifecycle services across the energy sector—including exploration, development, operations, and repowering/retirement.

What You’ll Do
Lead the design and delivery of utility-scale power and energy projects, from concept through detailed engineering. Serve as a technical advisor to clients, providing consulting expertise, due diligence, and Owner’s Engineer support. Collaborate with client account managers and project teams to develop strategies, proposals, and project execution plans. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth within the team. Engage in business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new project opportunities. Apply knowledge of emerging technologies to provide innovative, value-driven solutions. Travel to client sites as required (typically
10MW HV/MV substations Renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal) Energy storage systems Power system modeling (SKM, ETAP, or similar) Protection & control, SCADA, power system automation Utility master planning, decarbonization, or climate response planning Cogeneration/CHP systems Thermal utility plants and distribution (steam, hot water, chilled water)
