be considered. Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our
inpatient adolescent behavioral health unit . This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for children and adolescents (ages 6-18) with primary diagnoses including
Major Depression
and
ADD/ADHD . The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to manage both the medical and emotional needs of patients, including
medication administration , behavioral monitoring, daily documentation, and leading therapeutic education groups. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and indirect patient care in a behavioral health setting. Administer medications and provide related patient education. Document daily patient progress and interventions. Monitor and manage patient behaviors on the unit. Lead or co-lead therapeutic education groups. Float to the
Chemical Dependency/Detox Unit
as needed. Collaborate with families, providers, and clinical team members. Maintain strong professional boundaries and support a safe therapeutic environment. Required Qualifications: Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. License:
Active RN license in the state of Maine. Certifications:
Basic Life Support ( BLS ) - Required CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
training - Required
Experience: Minimum
1 year
of nursing experience required. 1-3 years
of prior experience working with adults in a behavioral health setting preferred. Desired Skills: Strong communication (written/verbal) across all levels - patients, families, and staff. Ability to perform in high-stress environments and manage personal stress effectively. Self-directed, proactive, and capable of staying productive during down times. Solid team player with a collaborative mindset. Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries. Additional Information: Candidates
must live outside a 50-mile radius
