Job Description
The Product Owner – Data Engineering & Business Intelligence is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and delivery of data products that power analytics and decision-making across Trove Brands. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and cross-functional partners to define product goals, prioritize initiatives, and deliver scalable solutions. While you won’t be engineering products yourself, success in this role requires a solid understanding of data engineering and analytics methodologies to enable effective collaboration and planning.

Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and strategy for Trove’s data & BI products.
Own and manage product backlogs for data pipelines, warehouse enhancements, and reporting solutions.
Partner with stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Leadership) to gather requirements and align priorities.
Translate business needs into clear acceptance criteria and user stories that balance technical feasibility with business impact.
Guide the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and well-governed data products (pipelines, integrations, warehouse enhancements) that enable timely, trusted, and actionable insights.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and foster collaboration between engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
Measure and communicate product impact, using KPIs to track adoption, reliability, and business value.
Continuously improve product development and stakeholder engagement processes.
Champion data literacy and drive adoption of BI and data products across the organization.
Qualifications: Qualifications
We seek team members who are adept at contributing their personal expertise to a collaborative work environment. For this role, we’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
3+ years experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent role in data/analytics.
Working knowledge of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data modeling, data governance, and data warehouses) with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Experience working with BI/analytics platforms (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
Demonstrated ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and manage backlogs in Agile environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical teams.
Analytical, data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization.
Familiarity with modern data stack technologies (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, Fivetran, etc.).
Experience with SQL and comfort reviewing data to validate requirements.
Background in e-commerce, consumer products, or similar industries.
Experience defining metrics frameworks and building reporting dashboards.
