Description Conduct evaluations of patients in inpatient or outpatient environments and develop customized treatment plans Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge procedures, and at-home exercises Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards Engage in multidisciplinary team rounds and conferences to guarantee comprehensive patient care Education
A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution Certifications
Valid state licensure as a
Physical Therapist CPR certification is preferred Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not a prerequisite Skills
Prior experience is highly preferred Aptitude for treating individuals with complex medical and mobility challenges Excellent communication and collaborative abilities Proficient with digital charting and clinical documentation systems Benefits
