About the Role: We’re seeking a detail-oriented, car-savvy professional to create engaging online listings for our used vehicles. You’ll highlight each vehicle’s features, take high-quality photos, and help drive sales with compelling listings.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates the best possible descriptive listing profiles on every used vehicle offered for retail sale.
Has thorough knowledge of all dealership products and services.
Looks at all photographs of the vehicle to ensure clarity and value-added options are photo’d and the value of options is spelled out in the listing.
Looks at VDPs and SRPs daily on every listing and ensures vehicles with low VDPs are looked at, driven, or cleaned to determine if an upgraded listing is needed.
Directs customers to product information resources, including those available on the Internet within the listing.
Walks around vehicles to visually look at the vehicle, options, and condition of the vehicle.
Understands the psychology of Internet customers to see what they are clearly looking for to draw them into the store for a proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
Points out inventory to the used car director who is getting little to no VDPs and has a conversation on how to improve the listing or wholesale the vehicle.
Takes photos of dealership inventory for use on the dealership site when used vehicles arrive day one.
Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail automobile sales and marketing.
Create a library of the Top 30 used vehicle options so you have a list of options readily available to add to a listing that are most common to each vehicle to become more efficient.
Uses tags in the Vauto system to keep up with inventory that may need attention.
Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
Attends product and sales training as requested by the sales manager.
Attends sales manager meetings when asked.
Maintains professional appearance.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or 6–12 months of related experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License.
Comfortable inspecting vehicles and taking photos.
