Objective
Seeking a versatile maintenance professional with strong electrical expertise to support our manufacturing facility. This role will maintain electrical systems and PLC operations while also handling general mechanical maintenance duties. The ideal candidate will effectively maintain both electrical components and general equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
Implement and perform electrical preventative maintenance programs for production equipment and facility systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including control circuits, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment
Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards including OSHA and NFPA 70 requirements
Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC programming to diagnose equipment problems
Support general mechanical maintenance needs including bearings, gearboxes, and drive systems
Perform routine inspections and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic components
Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production line adjustments
Respond to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns throughout the facility
Conduct preventative maintenance on building infrastructure (HVAC, lighting, plumbing)
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements in CMMS system
Maintain organization of parts inventory and request replacements when necessary
Support installation projects for new or relocated equipment
Train operators on basic troubleshooting procedures and safety protocols
Requirements
Technical training in industrial maintenance with emphasis on electrical systems
10+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance environment
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase) and control circuits
Strong understanding of PLC operations and ability to make simple programming adjustments
Experience with mechanical repairs including bearings, belts, chains, and pneumatic systems
Ability to use precision measuring tools and diagnostic equipment
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment including motors, pumps, conveyor systems
Understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices
Basic welding and fabrication skills for simple repairs
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Commitment to safety procedures and proper use of PPE
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions
Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency calls when needed
