Job Title: Bilingual Human Resources Assistant

Job Description

As a Human Resources Assistant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues in both English and Spanish. You will translate HR documents, communications, and policies as needed, assist with recruitment efforts and new hire onboarding, and support various HR programs and initiatives such as employee engagement, benefits enrollment, and training. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements, prepare HR reports, and ensure HRIS data integrity. You will provide administrative support for payroll processing, including timecard audits and attendance tracking, and assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsibilities

Serve as the point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues in both English and Spanish.

Translate HR documents, communications, and policies as required.

Assist with recruitment efforts and new hire onboarding.

Support HR programs and initiatives, including employee engagement, benefits enrollment, and training.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Prepare HR reports and maintain HRIS data integrity.

Provide administrative support for payroll processing, including timecard audits and attendance tracking.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, clients, and supervisors.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Ensure regular and reliable attendance.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience in Human Resources.

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Experience with HR policies and procedures.

Full cycle recruiting experience (20-30 requisitions per year minimum, mainly in manufacturing).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP.

Strategic role involvement, onboarding, payroll, HR administration, HR support, FMLA, benefits administration, talent management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Industry experience in manufacturing preferred.

Thorough knowledge of HR/legal standards and regulations, programs, processes, and tools in recruitment, benefits, training, and payroll.

Self-starting, results-oriented individual who is team-oriented.

Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.

Advanced computer literacy, knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now for onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and reporting.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work independently without close supervision and make sound decisions based on policy and company practice.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite at the manufacturing plant. The work environment involves collaboration with a team currently supporting more of the recruitment and payroll efforts. The role offers a growth opportunity, potentially leading to a supervisory or HR Director position in approximately two years.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Point Of Rocks, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.56 - $28.85/hr.
