The Impact You'll Make
As our
Quality Engineering Intern
, you'll play a key role in advancing quality systems and digital tools that drive continuous improvement across our operations.
Your impact? You'll work closely with the Quality Engineer, contributing to critical projects such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation, data visualization, and the development of intuitive shopfloor feedback systems.
You'll collaborate across departments and gain hands-on experience in quality systems, database design, and software interface development-right in the heart of a real-world manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Assist in redesigning and migrating Microsoft Access databases to modern platforms (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Power Platform).
Support quality initiatives including SPC (Statistical Process Control), defect tracking, non-conformance analysis, and data validation.
Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
Collaborate with shopfloor staff to gather user feedback and enhance digital tools.
Help develop and test user-friendly applications and interfaces for shopfloor data collection and access.
Work with the Quality Engineer to understand process requirements and how data informs decision-making.
Document workflows, data structures, and system modifications to support knowledge transfer and system sustainability.
What We're Looking For
A student currently pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a basic understanding of programming or scripting-or a strong willingness to learn.
A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to organize and implement effective systems and processes.
A proactive mindset with the confidence to respectfully challenge the status quo and suggest improvements.
