Description Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and craft tailored treatment plans Deliver physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes Guide patients and families through therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercise regimens Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress following facility and regulatory standards Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to guarantee seamless care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution Certifications
State licensure as a
Physical Therapist CPR certification recommended Specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory Skills
Prior experience is highly preferred Capability to treat patients with intricate medical and mobility challenges Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities Proficient in digital charting and clinical documentation systems Benefits
