Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position, requiring an active IL RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Responsibilities Position is based in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting Night shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a 2-week night rotation for all travelers Requires two 13-hour call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with onsite arrival within an hour when called Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience is required Level 1 Trauma center experience is essential Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care including patient assessment, care plan development, implementation and evaluation Collaborate with providers, families, and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation Promote a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting hazards No local candidates accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility) Requested time off is limited to seven days per 13-week contract After one year of continuous assignment, a six-month break is required before returning Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided during orientation No travel partners accepted
Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted) Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience in the emergency department Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma center Epic charting experience required ASN required; BSN preferred
