Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele float position in a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet, and teaching hospital, requiring a current MI RN license and telemetry experience.
Responsibilities Position is based in Med/Surg Tele units with floating to all adult acute care, MS, and stepdown units Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma center with Magnet and teaching designation Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30) Requires work on 3 weekends in a 4-week schedule No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience required Local candidates accepted with no local radius rule and same pay as travelers Must be available for at least 2 of the 3 major holidays, including the day before and after Holiday coverage required during the assignment period; traveler may request one holiday off No block scheduling permitted Returning staff must wait 12 months before reapplying Hunter green scrubs required Free parking provided with badge access Modules must be completed pre-start and are not paid First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Maximum 5 days of time off (RTO) is allowed per contract and must be submitted with application Time off is restricted during specified blackout dates
Requirements Active MI RN license must be in hand by start date (compact licenses not accepted in MI) Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred) Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience preferred Telemetry experience required Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required Travel nursing experience required Proof of high school education required Experience with Level 1 Trauma setting preferred Must be comfortable working with Epic EMR
