Job Summary
Coordinator of Student Services will perform a wide variety of specialized and responsible tasks including planning, organizing, supporting, and managing functions of the Student Services department, assuring that pupils enrolled in Pixley Union Elementary School District gain full and equal advantage from educational opportunities.
-Contribute relevant data to research projects and write needs assessments for grants. -Revise site and department developed reports and grant proposals for accuracy, readability, clarity of focus, and appeal to grantor. -Interpret law, regulations and policy/procedures to determine best course of action and advise/direct school personnel and parents related to Student Services, child welfare and attendance. -Coordinate district processes and programs addressing intra/inter-district permits, student residency, McKinney-Vento, student records, truancy reduction, and other student services programs. Collect data and prepare reports and surveys for the purpose of communicating effectiveness of programs to the public, parents, professional groups/agencies and state/federal government. -Develop and monitor special assignments and projects for the purpose of developing new models of effective service delivery. -Communicate with other administrators, district personnel, and parents to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and exchange information. -Maintain predictable and regular positive daily attendance at work site and wear clothing appropriate for position and public contact. -Organize state testing, provide training to certify examiners, and coordinate with site administrators and other personnel to complete all tasks related to ELPAC and SBAC. -Perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Governing Board policies. -Complete special assignments and perform other related duties as assigned.

Organization and coordination of state testing programs -Support and data reporting for English Learner, Special Education, Curriculum & Instruction and other educational programs -Provides Illuminate and other data system(s) professional development and supports to staff -Attends and monitors school site School Attendance and Review Team (SART) and School Attendance and Review Board (SARB) meetings as needed. -Supports the EL, ASES and ELOP programs through data analysis and reporting. -Supports CALPADS data collection as needed. -Supports other data collection, analysis, and reporting as needed for student services Directors. -Monitor and report on McKinney Vento Homeless and Foster Youth programs. -Works to ensure the integration of all behavioral, attendance, mental health, and social services within the context of school culture and learning. -Collects, maintains, and analyzes data and statistical reports related to all programs managed by the coordinator to ensure effectiveness and cost efficiencies. -Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements and completes required state and federal reports. -Prepares presentations to support the Student Services Administrators as needed. -Serve as a technical resource concerning data systems and other assigned functions; provide technical assistance and information concerning related projects - grants, academic, attendance, programs, practices, processes, policies and procedures. -Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other managers, principals, and other departments in coordinating the functions of this position. -Special projects providing confidential, technical and administrative support as assigned. -Fosters relationships with outside agencies and services to support students and families. -Supervises and evaluates classified staff as assigned. -Models district standards of ethics and professionalism. -Uses initiative and independent judgment in carrying out his/her duties -Other duties as assigned by supervisor
