Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
A shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing packages within a warehouse setting. The role includes tracking inventory, maintaining accurate records, packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to various departments.
Responsibilities
Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready work area.
Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, sort, and stock receivables.
Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
Provide additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

Work Environment
The position is based in a production work environment within a manufacturer of plastic packaging. The role of Material Handler in Finishing requires working hours from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The position involves heavy lifting of boxes, scanning, and attention to detail.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, Rhode Island.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
