Job Description:

About the Role This role supports the physicochemical evaluation and performance testing of cosmetics (hair, skin, or related) products, with a focus on batching, stability studies, and optimizing lab processes. The technician will work autonomously, documenting, analyzing, and reporting lab results, improving testing techniques, and supporting operational flow between formulation and analysis labs.

Skills to Recruit For Technical & Scientific Foundation Bachelor's degree (science/engineering focus: Chemistry, Biology, Physical Sciences) OR certification/diploma in Quality Control, Physical Measurements, or similar. 2+ years of technical lab experience (cosmetics, personal care, food, or paint fields preferred). Hands-on Laboratory Proficiency Experience with stability testing and batching of cosmetic, personal care, or related products. Proficient in standard lab techniques and equipment, such as: pH measurement Viscometer/rheometer use Microscopy (Bonus) Foam analyzer, batching equipment (e.g., Olsa, Disconti, Silverson mixers). Data collection, result analysis, and rigorous documentation for traceability/testing compliance. Process & Methodology Strict adherence to protocols, SOPs, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP/GMP). Organized, methodical approach with a strong critical sense-able to conduct, document, and report on analyses independently. Background in process optimization, efficiency improvement, or method validation (lean/feedback mindset a plus). Analytical & Communication Skills High attention to detail and accuracy in collating and interpreting lab data; ability to spot trends/discrepancies and escalate as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint for data entry, reporting, and presentation. Clear, cooperative written and oral communication for teamwork and cross-functional handoffs. Personal Attributes Autonomy and willingness to take on new techniques, tools, and troubleshooting. Observant, focused, and committed to safety, process rigor, and lab cleanliness. Positive, adaptable attitude-comfortable in fast-paced R&D or manufacturing labs, open to change and continuous learning.
