JOB SUMMARY Quality Assurance (QA) professionals are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and quality of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies and collaboration with cross-functional teams. QA roles span from manual testing and automation to leadership in strategy, architecture, and team development. QA professionals contribute to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that ARGO's solutions meet customer expectations and industry standards.

EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans and scripts. Analyze requirements and design documents to identify gaps and ensure testability. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and clients to clarify requirements and ensure quality deliverables. Lead or contribute to test strategy development, defect tracking, and root cause analysis. Support internal and external testing efforts, including UAT and production validation. Mentor junior QA staff and contribute to training and knowledge sharing (for senior levels). Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Participate in architectural discussions and influence product quality direction (for lead/architect levels).

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field Experience requirements vary by level:

Mid-level: 3-5 years of QA experience. Senior/Lead: 5-10+ years with leadership or mentoring responsibilities.

Industry certifications (e.g., ASTQB, ASQ, Six Sigma, PMI) preferred for senior and leadership roles.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices. Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, XRAY) and automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, and ReadyAPI). Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data validation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. For senior levels: experience in leading QA projects, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. For leadership roles: proven ability to manage teams, define QA strategy, drive process improvements, and define software quality metrics.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

Experience in financial services or healthcare software environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of non-functional, reliability, and usability testing. Exposure to AI/LLM tools in QA processes. User Experience testing for web and client/server-based applications. Strategic planning and architectural experience for QA frameworks (for architect/manager roles).

ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects.
