JOB SUMMARY The QA Manager provides leadership and oversight for ARGO's software quality assurance initiatives. They translate the strategic vision into tactical actions. This role is responsible for driving software quality across multiple product lines, aligning QA processes with organizational goals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-performing software solutions. The QA Manager partners with Development, Product, and other QA leaders to eliminate testing barriers, promote best practices, and champion a culture of quality throughout the SDLC.
Time Allocation: Planning and Coordination: 50% Execution and Monitoring: 30% Governance and Oversight: 10% Process Improvement: 10%
EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE Test management of complex product and implementation projects including providing supervision of all levels of QA analysts. The Quality Assurance Manager leads and develops the QA team members. Job duties and responsibilities include the following, in addition to other duties assigned as needed.
Leadership & Strategy
Provides QA leadership and authority through deep experience and technical skill. Aligns to senior leadership's vision with team execution, offering feedback based on data, and recommendations from experiences. Champions quality across the organization and promotes a Shift-Left QA mindset.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Engages Development and Product partners to eliminate barriers to testing and ensure smooth delivery. Partners with peers in planning functional and automation testing. Leads teams to resolution of escalation of both internal and external client issues
Process & Performance Management
Ensures alignment to QA processes across responsible teams and drives adherence to best practices. Routinely reviews the test assets in test management platform. Delivers measurable improvements to Testing Performance Indicators (TPIs) and KPIs.
Reporting & Communication
Reports software quality progression to senior leadership, highlighting risks, successes, and improvement opportunities. Leads multi-disciplined QA team in the creation of best practices aligning with senior management vision and direction. Owns intranet resources and directly contributes in creating documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technical field Technical or SQA certifications are a plus. 15+ years of Software Quality Assurance and test management experience including 7+ years of direct people leadership with at least six direct reports. Advanced knowledge with hands on experience of financial services or healthcare industry software applications
SKILLS
Proven experience in multiple software regression, release, and delivery cycles Demonstrated expertise in QA methodologies, test planning, and execution across SDLC models. Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Illustrates proficiency with test management, automation, and scripting technologies. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with cloud platforms, middleware, and software development tools.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
Banking and Finance or Healthcare background preferred Experience with the Microsoft Technology Stack
ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects. Should expect less than 10 percent travel.
