We are hiring an experienced Enterprise Solutions Architect to join a high-impact Department of Defense program supporting national security initiatives. This role will directly support USSTRATCOM's mission to provide continuous, secure, and integrated IT services across classified and unclassified networks, including NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. The selected candidate will lead enterprise-level architectural design and planning efforts with a focus on cybersecurity, DevSecOps integration, and application layer architecture. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and global communication systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide systems engineering and architectural planning support for Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) initiatives. Lead solution architecture design across application, network, storage, and cloud environments. Regularly evaluate and modernize existing architectures to enhance performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations & Sustainment (O&S) and engineering teams to align technical direction with mission needs. Focus on cybersecurity and secure application layer implementation as part of larger DoD IT infrastructure projects. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or enterprise solution architecture. Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it. DoD 8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+). Ability to obtain ITIL 4 Foundation certification within 9 months. Demonstrated expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Proficiency in at least one or more of the following areas: Collaboration Services: CRM systems, integration platforms. Cybersecurity & Risk Management: PKI/certificate authority, RMF frameworks. Enterprise Infrastructure: VDI, Active Directory, DNS, disaster recovery. Networking: LAN/WAN, VoIP, wireless technologies, application delivery. Storage & Mobility: SAN, NAS, iSCSI, DAS, mobile computing. Cloud & Virtualization: Cloud platforms, containerization, virtualization tools. Desired Skills and Qualifications: Experience analyzing system operations and modeling systems at various abstraction levels (capability, operational, functional, etc.). Familiarity with OMG modeling frameworks: UML, DoDAF 2.0/UPDM, SysML, UAF. Proficiency in modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect (preferred). Experience developing executable models (fUML preferred). Ability to extend UML-based models via APIs or modeling frameworks. Certification in systems modeling (e.g., OCSMP) or systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP).
